MPS builds nearly 3,000 homes for the poor in Nghe An
PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in collaboration with the Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony, on August 9, in Con Cuong district, to wrap up the project on building of 2,820 houses for local families with housing difficulties in Nghe An province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang and Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy praised the local police for their high sense of responsibility and great effort to finish the large project in a short time, inspite of numerours difficulties.
The two senior officials underlined that the local police had successfully fulfilled their main tasks, and at the same time participated actively in building homes for poor local households.
Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that hunger eradication and poverty reduction is an important strategic mission that the Party and State attach much importance to while supporting each other is a good Vietnamese tradition.
According to the deputy minister, the Ministry of Public Security has sponsored the construction of more than 10,000 homes for the poor and a number of boarding schools in the provinces of Son La, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Lang Son, and Hoa Binh.
The Deputy Minister of Public Security was happy and moved, saying that the success of the housing project in Nghe An demonstrated the close coordination and big support of the local civilian sectors, local people and local authorities departments, and especially the strong political determination of the local police playing the leading role in implementing the project.
By building 2,820 new beautiful and solid homes for local people in difficult circumstances, the People’s Public Security Forces in general and the local police in particular have made an important contribution to improving people's lives and promoting local socio-economic development.
