The Liaison Committee of the South Battlefield Reinforced Security Police Contingent held a meeting to celebrate 63 years since security police reinforcements sent to South Battlefield (February 21st, 1962–2025) on the morning of February 20th, in Hanoi.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung attended the meeting.

The event also saw the presence of former Deputy Ministers of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Huong and Senior Lieutenant General Le The Tiem.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung underlined that the contributions, services and great sacrifices of the Public Security Forces in general and the South Battlefield Reinforced Security Police Contingent in particular during the resistance war against the U.S. invaders will forever be a source of pride and a priceless spiritual asset of the nation.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Public Security Forces will always honor the heroic martyrs who courageously sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland, while expressing deep gratitude to all security police veterans who had shed blood and bones for the cause of national liberation as well as for the development and protection of the Fatherland.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung released that Vietnam is stepping up comprehensive reforms for rapid and sustainable development while promoting international cooperation and actively engaging in deep international integration.

In the current context, the Public Security Forces do not only see significant opportunities, but also face major challenges and difficulties, which requires the forces to take bigger responsibility in safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety so as to contribute to national development in the country’s rising era.

Meanwhile, the Party and State is guiding the entire nation through various policies and approaches to ensure security and order and hold the strategic initiative in all situations, creating a peaceful and stable environment for socio-economic development and international integration.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stressed that the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership hopes that the South Battlefield reinforced security police veterans will continue to uphold the spirit of "Getting older, having more willpower", as well as watch over and give wholehearted opinions to the Public Security Forces so that the forces can fulfill their duties entrusted by the Party, State, and People.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister wished that the veterans would inspire and motivate the current generation of public security officers and enlistees to try their best to fulfill their political tasks.
