MPS leader commends Thanh Hoa Police for dismantling crime group manufacturing counterfeit medications
Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Ngoc Lam sent a letter of commendation to the Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department and Head of the Thanh Hoa City Police Station, praising the police units for dismantling a large-scale criminal gang suspected of manufacturing and trading counterfeit medications nationwide, on September 16th, 2024.
The content of the letter has been translated into English as follows:
Over the past time, the Thanh Hoa City Police Station under the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department has effectively taken professional measures to destroy a large-scale criminal group involved in manufacturing and trading counterfeit medications nationwide.
The police arrested and prosecuted 7 offenders, seized 31,679 boxes of various medicines, 2.2 tons of additives, excipients as well as many machines, equipment, documents and other exhibits.
The victory has demonstrated strong determination, a high sense of responsibility and excellent professional expertise of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Force in general and the Thanh Hoa City Police Station in particular in implementing directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating manufacturing and trading of counterfeit goods.
It has contributed to protecting people’s health as well as legitimate rights and benefits of pharmaceutical producers, contributing to creating a healthy business environment, deterring criminals and strengthening people’s trust in the Public Security Forces.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Lam praised the police units for their victory.
The Deputy Minister requested the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department to closely coordinate with relevant police agencies and units to expand the investigation of the case and early complete documents and evidence so as to prosecute all the involved in line with the laws.
The Deputy Minister wished the police department additional outstanding achievements in the coming time.
