MPS leaders congratulate Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on Buddha's 2568th birthday

PSNews - Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, visited Quan Su Pagoda and congratulated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) and all Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, and practitioners on the occasion of the Buddha's 2568th birthday on the morning of May 20th, 2024, in Hanoi.

The delegation was received by Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Permanent Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council and members of the VBS Patronage Council and the Executive Council.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang presented flowers and extended his best wishes to members of the  VBS Patronage Council and the Executive Council as well as all Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhist practitioners on Buddha's 2568th birthday.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang highly appreciated the contribution of the VPS to bolstering national solidarity, ensuring social security and safeguarding the Fatherland as well as promoting socio-economy in the past few years, while hoping all Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and practitioner swill observe the policies and laws of the state, fulfill their citizenships as well as support the Public Security Forces in ensuring national security and social order.

Sincerely thanking the visit of Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu conveyed his congratulations to Minister of Public Security General To Lam on his nomination for State President. 

He affirmed that the VPS always supports the Public Security Forces in ensuring security and social order, while expressing his confidence that the  Public Security Forces would successfully fulfill their assigned tasks of maintaining national security and ensuring social order, contributing to the country’s development and the people’s peaceful and happy lives.
