 Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, offered condolences to the Iranian Embassy in Hanoi at the commemoration of the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other Iranian senior officials who had died in a recent helicopter crash, on the afternoon of May 23rd, in Hanoi.

Writing in the condolence book, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stated that President Ebrahim Raisi had made a significant contribution to the national development and defense cause of Iran for the many years, and his death was an enormous grief and loss of the State and people of Iran in particular and the world in general.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung conveyed the deepest condolences of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to the State and people of Iran over the death of their beloved President.

* After attending the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung had a meeting and expressed sympathy for Iranian Ambassador to Vietnam Ali Akbar Nazari and all Embassy staff for their big loss.

On behalf of the leadership of the Minister of Public Security as well as the entire Public Security Forces, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung sent his deep condolences to the State and people of Iran, saying that President Raisi had made a significant contribution to Iran, leading the country to overcome difficulties caused by Western sanctions, shaping Iran's diplomatic policies toward countries in the Middle East and around the world.

He also attached importance to promoting relations and cooperation between Iran and Vietnam in several fields including security and law enforcement.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung hoped that the State and people of Iran will soon overcome this enormous grief and loss, continue to maintain stability, and develop the country, contributing to prosperity in the region and the world.

Regarding the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Iranian partners, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung suggested that the two sides should expand cooperation in all fields, while effectively implementing the MOU on cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Irania Law Enforcement Command signed during the visit of Commander-in-Chief Ahmad Reza Radan to Vietnam recently.

Sincerely thanking the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Public Security Forces for their good feelings and friendly gesture, Ambassador Ali Akbar Nazarip ledged that he will continue to make his part to cultivating and promoting the relationship between Vietnam and Iran in general, and cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and relevant law enforcement agencies of Iran in particular.
