MPS of Vietnam, Ministry of the Interior of Cuba strengthen cooperation
PSNews - Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung had talk with Politburo member and Minister of the Interior of Cuba Lieutenant General Lázaro Alberto Álvares Casas on April 23rd.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam has a constant position of supporting the the cause of socialist-oriented national development in Cuba, especially in the present difficult time.
He also expressed his belief that the Cuban people under the wise and consistent leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba led by Comrade Miguel Díaz-Canel will surely surmount all difficulties and challenges and reap more attainments in building a socialist nation.
At the talk, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba agreed to continue effectively implementing the signed documents while enhancing cooperation in the field of national security and social order and safety, on the basis of the friendship and fraternal solidarity between the two countries.
The two sides also agreed to focus on consultation, information exchange, mutual support at multilateral forums, as well as cooperation in the health field.
Preventing and combating various types of crimes such as organized crimes, transnational crimes, high-tech crimes, human trafficking, terrorism, commerce-related and tourism-related crimes as well as new types of crime and non-traditional security threats will become the main focus of cooperation activities between the two sides.
At the end of the talk, on behalf of Politburo member and Minister of Public Security of Vietnam General To Lam, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung presented the Cuban Ministry of Interior a number of fire and rescue equipment and medical equipment, contributing to easing the difficulties that the Cuban Ministry of the Interior is facing.
