MPS opens training course on advisory work

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held an opening ceremony of a training course on advisory work of the Public Security Forces, on October 14th, in Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chief of the Office of MPS Senior Colonel Mai Xuan Thao underlined, advisory work plays an important role in the operation of the Public Security Forces. Especially, advisory work can support public security leaders and commanders at all levels to manage and lead their units and agencies.

As a result, building advisory capacity of public security officers, especially those working in advisory positions, is an extremely important and urgent task.

In the implementation of Resolution No.10 of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Directive No.9 of the Minister of Public Security on enhancing the quality and efficiency of advisory work for public security officers in the current situation, the Office of MPS, in coordination with relevant agencies, has organized 8 training courses for staff officers from under-ministerial departments and police departments of provinces and centrally-run cities nationwide.

Over 200 staff officers from the staff divisions of police departments of provinces and centrally-run cities, participate in this year’s training course.

According to the training program, trainees are provided with basic contents of advisory work specific to the Pubic Security Forces as well as updated views on ensuring security and order in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 7th Central Public Security Party Congress.

In addition, senior public security officers as guest lecturers share with the trainees their hands-on experience in advisory work, speak of strategic forecasts as well as issues regarding advisory work in the Public Security Forces, and approaches to enhance the efficiency of advisory work in public security units and agencies at all levels.

Within the framework of the training course, trainees will also have field trips and syndicates to share their knowledge and experience in advisory work.

The training program is slated for five days, from October 14th to October 18th, 2024.
