The 2nd cultural and sports exchange program between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam (MPS) and the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) took place at the Ho Guom Opera House on the evening of September 26th, 2024.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Commissioner General of KNPA Cho Ji Ho and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam Choi Young Sam.

The program aimed to strengthen and deepen the relations and cooperation between MPS and KNPA in an effective and comprehensive manner.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung affirmed that the program is of great significance as it tightens the friendship between the police forces of Vietnam and RoK as well as helps the RoK’s peers better understand the country and people of Vietnam as well as the Vietnam's recent remarkable achievements in socio-economic development.

In addition, the exchange program also helps strengthen solidarity, connection and mutual support between the Vietnamese police force and RoK’s counterparts in an effective and comprehensive manner.

Accordingly, the two sides will further enhance high-level delegation exchange to share information about the regional and global security situation, exchange hands-on experience and build capacity of both countries’ law enforcement forces  to effectively prevent and combat crime, especially transnational crime, as well as to respond to non-traditional security threats, contributing to maintaining security and order in each country, and for peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world in the coming time.

The host underlined that the visit of Commissioner General Cho Ji Ho and the high-ranking delegation of KNPA is the clearest demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, friendship and mutual support between the two police agencies.
