Senior Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Head of the MPS rescue team, handed over the supplies to Director of the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement of Myanmar Sa Weli Frag.

Hopefully, the Vietnamese police’s medical aid can in part help the country early overcome the challenging period.

The aid package included antibiotics, digestive and flu medications as well as basic healthcare equipment including blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, pulse oximeters, stretchers, bandages, gauze, antiseptics and other essential medical supplies.

It also comprised devices for disease prevention and control, including mosquito control sprayers and insecticides.

Expressing his sincere gratitude to Vietnam’s MPS for its generous support, Mr. Sa Weli Frag affirmed that the donated medicines and equipment would be promptly transferred to the Ministry of Health of Myanmar, which would then distribute them to disaster-hit areas currently facing shortages of medical supplies.

Earlier, on the evening of March 31, during a rescue mission in Zabuthiri town, the delegation also provided packages of medicines and essential supplies to local authorities in support of their ongoing disaster relief efforts.
