The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) issued a telegram on September 3rd, 2024, requesting all public security units and agencies to proactively brace themselves for Storm Yagi and its possible influences in the coming time.

Accordingly, MPS Steering Committee for Climate Change Response, Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requested public security units and agencies to:

Closely monitor the storm's developments, coordinate closely with the Border Guard Force to caution and guide vehicles and people at sea to respond actively to the storm, escape from dangerous areas, and move to safe shelters.

Guide people to immediately take measures to minimize damages caused by the storm as well as accompanying rains and floods.

Coordinate with all minisitries, branches and local authorities to urgently evacuate and relocate people, vehicles and assets from dangerous areas, especially areas likely to be hit by the storm or areas at high risk of deep inudation, landslides and flash floods, to safe places.

Mobilize maximum forces and means to ensure safety for people and property; check watercraft at anchorages and shelter areas; ensure traffic safety, especially through culverts, landslide areas or areas at risk of landslides and inundation areas; proactively cary out rescue operations and support people to overcome consequences caused by the storm and its affection.

Under-ministerial departments proactively mobilize all forces, means, materials, medicine, medical services, and funding to promptly support affected localities, as well as deploy plans to ensure environmental sanitation and prevent natural disasters and epidemics.
