MPS reviews results “All people protecting national security” movement in religious communities

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in coordination with the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh province organized a meeting to review the 10-year implementation of Directive No. 09 by the Minister of Public Security and praise typical exemplary models and individuals in the "All people protecting national security" movement in religious communities for the 2014-2024 period, on the morning of January 10th, 2025.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung, Head of the Steering Committee for the “All people protecting national security” movement chaired the meeting.

In his opening remark, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung underlined that the Party and State is always consistent with the policy of respecting citizens’ freedom of beliefs and religion as well as the policy of building the national great unity, stressing that the authorities at all levels have always paid attention to and created favorable conditions for religious communities to practice their beliefs in accordance with the laws.

The Deputy Minister revealed that, after 10 years of implementing Directive No. 09, significant results have been achieved.

The Public Security Forces have made great effort to carry out information dissemination and mobilize religious dignitaries, leaders, reputable individuals and religious followers to participate in the "All people protecting national security" movement over the past 10 years; as a result, most of religious dignitaries and followers have trust in the leadership of the Party and State, improved their awareness of observing laws and fulfilled their civic responsibilities.

They also actively participated in patriotic emulation movements, the "All people protecting national security" movement and contributing to cultural, social and economic development in religious areas.

At the meeting, delegates shared their valuable hands-on experiences as well as put forward proposals and recommendations to effectively promote the “All people protecting national security” movement within the religious communities in the coming time.

Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and MPS leaders, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung acknowledged and hailed the achievements and results attained by public security units and agencies over the 10 years of the implementation of Directive No. 09.

The Deputy Minister also congratulated all the collectives and individuals representing the typical exemplary models on their awards in promoting the "All people protecting national security" movement in religious communities for the period 2014-2024.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung urged the Public Security Forces at all levels to further promote their core role in promoting the "All people protecting national security" movement in religious communities in the coming time.

The Deputy Minister also requested the Public Security Forces to closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front, branches, sectors and political, social organizations to advise Party committees and authorities at all levels on effectively promoting the "All people protecting national security" movement in religious communities while calling for the replication of typical exemplary models in implementing the movement, with the aim of mobilizing social resources for the movement and promoting the good moral and cultural values of religions.
