MPS reviews the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Loc Binh, Lang Son

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in coordination with the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province, held a ceremony to hand over 292 newly-built houses to local beneficiaries and summarize the implementation of Phase I of the project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Loc Binh district, Lang Son province, on the afternoon of January 16th, 2025.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam attended and delivered a remark at the ceremony.

As assigned by MPS leaders and leaders of the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Lang Son province, the Lang Son Provincial Police Department coordinated with the authority of Loc Binh district to support disadvantaged households to rebuild 292 dilapidated houses and repair 101 downgraded houses in the district.

Earlier, the Lang Son Provincial Police Department had reported the local situation to MPS, and received more than 20.4 billion VND for the project extracted from the fund socially mobilized by MPS.

The remaining expenditure for the project was covered by the local organizations, businesses and other benefactors that the Lang Son Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Lang Son Provincial Police Department, and the local authorities had mobilized to donate.

After two months of construction, all 292 new houses in Loc Binh district, each on an area of 42m², have been completed on schedule, in time for the beneficiary families to celebrate the 2025 Lunar New Year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Lam praised officers and enlistees of the Lang Son Provincial Police Department for their achievements in ensuring local security and order and their effort in supporting the construction of new houses for people with housing difficulty.

The Deputy Minister also sincerely thanked the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province for their close coordination with MPS in implementing the project, and hoped that they would continue to join MPS to effectively carry out Phase II of the project in Loc Binh district.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Lam, leaders of Lang Son province and benefactors also presented Tet gifts to poor families and disadvantaged students in the district.
