NA deputies visit the National Population Database Center
PSNews - Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam hosted a meeting with National Assembly (NA) deputies of Phu Tho, Son La and Binh Duong provinces, who visited the National Population Database Center, on the afternoon of November 7.
The NA deputies took a tour around the National Population Database Center, watched a film on the center, and listened to a report delivered by a representative of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order under the Ministry of Public Security on functions and missions of the center’s Digital Map Office.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc briefed the NA deputies on the functions, missions and important position of the National Population Database Center in applying population data to administrative reform and various aspects of life.
At the meeting, the NA deputies of Son La, Phu Tho and Binh Duong provinces learnt about the application of the population data to the implementation of Project 06, requesting that the Ministry of Public Security support and guide the provinces’ relevant agencies to effectively apply population data to the implementation of Project 06.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam emphasized that the establishment of the National Population Data Center aims at managing and administering society in a comprehensive, effective and smart manner, but at the same time, as well as at providing best services for the people. With a large-scale, modern facilities and good security, the Center's database will very much help ministries, branches and localities in their management and operation.
Minister To Lam also took the chance to hail the provinces’ leaders for their strong political determination to implement Project 06 over the past time.
Minister To Lam also affirmed that, with its role and responsibility, the Ministry of Public Security is always ready to support, advise and guide ministries, branches and localities to implement Project 06 successfully.
