New Director of Soc Trang Provincial Police Department appointed
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony in Soc Trang on January 5 to announce a decision by the Minister of Public Security to appoint new director of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department.
The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang.
According to the decisions announced at the event, Senior Colonel Bui Quoc Khanh has been appointed as Director of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department, replacing Senior Colonel Lam Thanh Sol, who has been appointed as Director of the Surveillance Department under the MPS.
Under the authority of the Minister of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang handed the decision to Senior Colonel Bui Quoc Khanh, while the decision on the promotion of Senior Colonel Lam Thanh Sol will be held at the headquarters of the Surveillance Department in Hanoi.
The decisions take effect on January 9.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang applauded the achievements gained by Senior Colonel Lam Thanh Sol over the past time and congratulated Senior Colonel Bui Quoc Khanh on his promotion.
He also hoped that the two senior officers will do their best to fulfil all tasks on their new positions.
The newly-appointed chief of Soc Trang police, for his part, promised to accomplish all tasks given to him as the Director of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department.
