Police arrest 26 suspects of attacking local authority headquaters
Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security Lieutenant General To An Xo, on June 12, reported that the police arrested 26 suspects of recently attacking the headquarters of the People's Committees of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes in Dak Lak.
As reported by the Public Security Newspaper, on the early morning of June 11, a group of unidentified people used military guns and weapons to attack the headquarters of the People's Committees of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, killing and injuring a number of commune officials and people.
The Ministry of Public Security immediately directed the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department and task-force squads to arrive the locations and chased the attackers.
At 16:30 on the same day, 16 subjects were arrested and 2 hostages were rescued while the third hostage freed himself.
In the afternoon, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam signed a decision to posthumously promote the ranks of 4 commune police officers who had fallen while on duty in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak.
