Police forces plan to ensure security, social order and traffic safety during national holidays
The Ministry of Public Security held a briefing on work results of the Public Security Forces in April as well as to deploy key tasks in May, on the morning of April 25th, 2023. Politburo member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam chaired the conference.
Delivering a summary report at the conference, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security Major General Dang Hong Duc highlighted the work results of the Public Security Forces in safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety as well as implementing other tasks assigned by the Party, Government and National Assembly in the month.
At the conference, under the chair of Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, delegates from public security agencies and units discussed issues related to all working aspects as well as pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in implementing directives of the Ministry. Delegates also evaluated the situation and proposed changes in fire safety regulations, with a view to creating favorable conditions for the operation of businesses and people’s life. They also figured out approaches to effectively prevent and combat crimes as well as plans to ensure traffic safety in the coming holidays.
Speaking at the conference, Minister To Lam asked all public security agencies and units to exactly analyze and evaluate the situation as well as promptly advise the Party, State and Ministry leaders solutions to safeguard national security, and maintain social order and safety.
Minister To Lam underlined key national events for the Public Security Forces to protect in the coming time including Hung King’s Commemoration Day, National Reunification Day, International Workers’ Day, the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the 5th sitting session of the National Assembly. He also requested the forces to absolutely safeguard critical infrastructures and targets related to national security, important political, social, cultural events as well as Party and State leaders.
