Project 06 Working Group reviews April task perfomance

PSNews - Politburo member, Chief of the Government’s Project 06 Working Group and Minister of Public Security General To Lam chaired the monthly meeting of the Project 06 Working Group to discuss its  implementation of Project 06 in April, on April 28th, 2023, in Hanoi.

. Overview of the meeting.

According to a summary report delivered at the meeting, many online public services provided by the Ministry of Public Security and under-ministerial agencies and units had been used by the people, including 98,9% of online residence declarations (up by 0,3% compared to March) and 88,2% of online applications for issuance, renewal or modification of ordinary passports (up by 3,6%).

In addition, the rate of the online registration of seals reached 94.2%, while applications for new low-voltage power supply  increased 7,7%  compared to March, reaching 77,4%.

At the meeting, under the chair of Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, delegates discussed issues related to the Government’s Project 06 as well as put forward proposals to effectively implement Project 06 in the coming time, including perfecting a legal basis, devising data protection plans at ministries, branches and localities, adding information fields to the database of civil servants and public employees as well as providing financial mechanisms and  appropriately allocating funds for ministries, branches and localities.

Concluding the meeting, Minister To Lam suggested, the Government Office urge ministries and branches to review and amend 48 circulars and legal documents within their authority regarding the use of the print household registration book, temporary residence paper and certificate of residence .

Minister To Lam also suggested that agencies, ministries and branches soon publicize administrative procedures related to the use these residence documents, serving as guides for localities to implement these procedures.
