Public Security Forces be sharp sword, solid shield and crystal-clear mind

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong:

Speaking at the meeting of the Public Security Central Party Committee on December 7, 2022, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong acknowledged and praised the effort, role-model, leading role and notable results of the Public Security Central Party Committee in 2022.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that, in 2022, the Public Security Forces successfully completed their assigned tasks, making an important contribution to maintaining political and social stability, creating a secure, peaceful and safe environment for the country’s socio-economic development and expanding the country's foreign relations, as articulated at the 13th Party Congress: "Our country has never enjoyed such fortune, power, international standing and prestige as it does today".

In the coming time, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security should continue closely watching the situation in the country, in the region and in the world and should be more active and proactive in anti-corruption work.

The Party leader suggested that the Public Security Central Party Committee continue to promote its exemplary role, attach importance to Party building work and building of the People's Public Security Forces, ensuring that all officers have solid political will and absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the Party, the State, the people and the socialism.

The forces also need to have good moral qualities, a healthy lifestyle, a high sense of discipline, and a willingness to fight and sacrifice for the cause of protecting National security.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh:

Delivering a keynote speech at the 78th National Public Security Conference on December 19, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spoke highly of the Public Security Forces’ work results in recent times, saying that the forces had actively grasped the security situation and well performed their function of advising the Party and State on security and order, socio-economic development and external affairs, contributing largely to the success and development of the country.

According to the Prime Minister, the People’s Public Security Forces had advised the Politburo to issue Resolution No.12 on building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces to meet the task requirements in the new situation.

The Public Security Forces have made great effort and contribution, and completed all tasks assigned by the Party, State and people. At the same time, the forces have attached special importance to protecting the interests and ideology of the Party, State and people.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh recognized that the People’s Public Security Forces have developed plans and taken drastic measures to prevent and combat crimes. The forces have reached all targets and surpassed several of the targets, set out by the National Assembly on preventing and controlling crimes. The forces proactively identified, discovered and investigated serious, complicated economic wrongdoing and corruption cases of public concern, in the spirit of no forbidden zones.

The Government’s head also stressed that, the Public Security Forces have taken the lead in the country’s national digital transformation and in implementing Project 06, contributing to creating an important foundation for the implementation of online public services.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh noted that the forces should focus on Party building, continuously improve their political will, moral qualities, working style and lifestyle, while each public security officer should have an enthusiastic heart, a cool head, firm feet and clean hands, as well as uphold honor because "honor is the most sacred and noble thing", so that the Public Security Forces will always be "the sharp sword, the solid shield, and the crystal-clear mind", preserving the trust of the Party, State and people.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue:

Speaking at a conference held on May 6, 2022 to review the campaign of "Building a brave and humane style of People's Public Security personnel to serve the people", National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that the Public Security Forces have constantly cultivated and practiced Uncle Ho’s six teachings as well as followed Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style.

According to Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, many police officers were not afraid of the danger, rushing into fire or fast running floods to save people. Police forces also worked on the front line of the fight against Covid-19. In general, they are always ready to assist people in need. These beautiful actions of police officers have contributed to embellishing the glorious heroic tradition of the People's Public Security Forces and beautifying the image of the police officer in the hearts of the people.

Also at this event, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed delight while knowing that, in the past 4 years, about 80 percent of the total 80,000 comments made by the people on the service and the results in crime prevention and control of the Public Security Forces as well as judicial reforms of the Ministry of Public Security had been satisfactory. The people also appreciated the force building work of the Public Security Forces.

At the event, the head of the National Assembly also urged the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security to continue directing the Public Security Forces to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh's moral example in accordance with Resolution 01 and Directive 05 of the Politburo. All public security officers and soldiers were also asked to follow and practice Uncle Ho’s six teachings to the Public Security Forces.
