The Public Security Youth Union in coordination with the Vietnam Youth Federation’s Central Committee visited and prevented gifts to police officers and soldiers working at some checkpoints located in Hanoi and units of the Ministry of Public Security performing duties on the frontline of the fight against COVID pandemic.
At a checkpoint on the Hanoi - Lao Cai Highway and Headquarters of Traffic Patrol and Control Teams No. 1 and 4 under the Traffic Police Department (stationed in Soc Son district, Hanoi), Secretary of the PSYU Lieutenant Colonel Dong Duc Vu, Vice Chairman of the VYF Central Committee Nguyen Kim Quy and the benefactors inquired after the health of officers and soldiers working there and presented them 100 boxes of tonic water bottles.
This is part of the 2,000 boxes of tonic water bottles, worth VND 500 million in total donated by individuals, organizations, and enterprises in response to calls from the PSY and VYF to support police officers and soldiers working on the frontlines of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
That meaningful activity of the PSYU contributed to the special emulation movement "The whole nation stands united and joins efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic" launched by the Prime Minister.
