PSNews – In order to ensure security and order in locality, over the past years, the police force of Tien Phuoc District, Quang Nam Province has coordinated with local authority to install hundreds secruity cameras in key areas.

Tien Phuoc is a mountainous district of Quang Nam Province. The security and order situation of the areas in the previous years was very complicated. Against this backdrop, the district police advised the local Party Committee and authority to developed a security camera project.

According to Colonel Duong Minh Hung, Deputy Head of the Tien Phuoc District Police, the survilliance camera system was put into operation since June 2023 with a total investment of 5.4 billion VND.

Under the project, 268 cameras were installed across the districts. The camera locations are at the boundary of administrative zones, crossroads, junctions, residential areas, market areas, hot spots of security and order.

Security surveillance cameras are installed openly on roads to raise the public awareness of compliance with the laws as well as to warn and deter bad elements from committing criminal acts. 

The image from the camera is transmitted simultaneously to the local police post and the district police station to coordinate, helping the police to quickly handle any offences.

Thanks to the security cameras, the local police could quickly detect and stop many criminal activities and social evils as well as arrested offenders. Particularly, the "magic eyes" helped the local police seized a drug trafficking case and a robbery case, as well as handle traffic accidents and timely prevent social disturbances and other illegal acts.

Colonel Duong Minh Hung affirmed that the security camera model has brought about many practical results, contributing to ensuring the security and order in the district and promoting local socio-economic development.
