Vietnam Buddhist Sangha pays Tet visit to MPS

PSNews - A delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council led by its Standing Vice Chairman, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, on Janurary 26 visited the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) ahead of 2022 Lunar New Year (Tet).

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang received the guests.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and all Buddhists nationwide, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu thanked the support of the MPS and the People's Public Security Forces for the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha as well as Buddhist dignitaries and followers over the past year.

He also extended Tet wishes to the MPS leaders and all officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces. He wished that they would have good health and successfully complete their tasks of maintaining peace and happiness for the people in the new year.

For his part, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang sent best wishes to all leaders of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and its provincial-level chapters as well as all Buddhists across the country. 

Deputy Minister Quang expressed his hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha would continue to assist the People's Public Security Forces in the cause of defending the Fatherland, maintaining security and social order, and building the great national unity block among religious followers.
