During the talks, the two sides agreed to conduct regular exchanges of delegations at all levels to share information and hands-on experiences in responding to both traditional and non-traditional security challenges.

Amid the increasingly complex developments of criminal activities with more sophisticated and dangerous methods, the two sides concurred on the need to establish an annual, rotating ministerial-level dialogue mechanism between the ministries to deepen friendship and strengthen cooperation in addressing emerging security challenges in the new situation.

In addition, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Korean law enforcement agencies committed to effectively implementing the contents of the signed Memorandums of Understanding between Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Korea Coast Guard as well as the Korean National Police Agency, focusing on organizing training courses to enhance the capacity of police forces as well as boosting information exchange and experience sharing in crime prevention.

Beyond coordination in preventing and combating transnational crimes such as terrorism, human trafficking, drug-related offenses, cyber fraud and illegal migration, the two sides will expand cooperation in science and technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

They will also work together to ensure the security and safety of each country’s citizens living, studying and working in the other, while creating favorable conditions for these communities.
