As part of the working program of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security delegation in Romania, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Public Security's Foreign Affairs Department Senior Colonel Nguyen Hoa Chi met with Chief of INTERPOL Bucharest Office Razvan Alexandru to discuss cooperation between Vietnamese and Romanian police forces via INTERPOL channel, on the afternoon of January 22 (local time).
At the meeting, the Vietnamese side highly thanked the INTERPOL Bucharest Office for supporting the INTERPOL Vietnam Office in investigating and verifying transnational cases and incidents relating to the two countries as well as as in coordinating the capture of Vietnamese wanted fugitives.
In order to strengthen cooperation and relationship between INTERPOL Vietnam Office and INTERPOL Bucharest Office in the coming time, the two sides agreed that INTERPOL Offices of the two countries need to advise the authorities of each country on approaches to expand cooperation between the two countries' police forces in crime prevention and control, information sharing and working experience exchange through the INTERPOL cooperation channel.
The two INTERPOL offices should regularly share information about new criminal methods and tricks and exchange experience in fighting crimes, especially crimes using high technology and trafficking in persons.
