Vietnam, South Africa strengthen cooperation in preventing environmental crime

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung expressed his hope that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and South African law enforcement agencies continue to effectively implement the "Memorandum of Understanding on Crime Prevention and Control Cooperation" and step up the negotiation and signing of other cooperation documents in the fields of security, prevention and combat of crimes, especially transnational crime and wildlife trafficking.

The two sides agreed to increase exchange of delegations at all levels to enhance mutual understanding, study possibilities to expand cooperation in other areas of mutual interests, such as professional personnel training, capacity building for law enforcement officers, and coordinate closely  and provide mutual support at international forums of which the two countries are members.

For her part, Ms. Makhosto Magdeline Sotyu affirmed that she will try her best to further promote the cooperation between relevant South African authorities and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in the field of crime prevention and combat, contributing to Improving relations between South Africa and Vietnam in the coming time.
