The Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association co-organized a meeting to praise typical members of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association in the “All people protecting national security” movement, on the afternoon of August 27th, in Hanoi.

According to reports at the meeting, over the past time, the Public Security Forces and chapters of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association at all levels have closely cooperated in building the “All people protecting national security” movement with many flexible and creative activities, contributing to ensuring security and order in localities across the country.

At the meeting, delegates shared good models and effective methods of implementing the “All people protecting national security” movement carried out by chapters of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association at all levels in the past time, while proposing approaches to enhance the effectiveness of the movement in the coming time.

Addressing the meeting. Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Do Van Chien acknowledged and praised the typical chapters of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association and individual war veterans for their achievements in the “All people protecting national security” movement, affirming that they had made great contributions to strengthening the people’s security posture in line with the national defense posture at the grassroots.

To effectively implement the movement in the coming time, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front suggested further promoting the role of Party committees and chapters of the War Veterans’ Association at all local levels to mobilize the synergy of the whole political system and all people in the cause of safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety and strengthening the people’s security posture.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung highly appreciated the role and responsibility of members of the War Veterans’ Association in coordinating with police forces to implement the “All people protecting national security” movement.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung suggested that members of the War Veterans’ Association should consider the “All people protecting national security” movement the cause of the revolution and the mass, so it must be put under the absolute leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels.

He also requested relevant forces to strictly follow major policies and solutions on strengthening the Party's leadership to effectively implement the movement in the coming time.
