Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Cambodian Ministry of Interior agree to strengthen security cooperation

Emphasizing the need to cooperate, share information and experience in the fields of technology, digital and educational propaganda between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang proposed that the two sides include cooperation on network security, counter-crime with the use of high technology, communications and digital transformation as key tasks in the 2024 Cooperation Plan between the two sides.
The two sides should also cooperate in training, fostering and building capacity of officers of the two sides working on information technology, digital transformation and information with a focus on building content strategies and managing digital systems so they will be able to firmly protect national security and ensure social order of each country.
Sincerely thanked Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang for the meeting, General Por Phak wished that the bilateral relations and cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia would further develop and achieve more practical fruitful results.
He underlined the need for the two sides to strengthen cooperation in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, preventing and combating all types of crime in the two countries, saying that the cooperation between the two ministries would make an important contribution to cementing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
