Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security wishes to boost defense and security cooperation with French side
Minister of Public Security General To Lam received Chairman of a French group named Défense Conseil International (DCI) Samuel Fringant, on February 23, 2023, in Hanoi.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam emphasized that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam attaches great importance to and wishes to further expand cooperation with French partners in the field of defense and security.
Vietnam and France have a friendly relationship and the two side enjoy mutual trust.
Over the past 50 years, since the two countries established diplomatic relations, France and Vietnam have built the foundation for the cooperative relationship by signing numerous agreements and cooperation mechanisms.
Minister To Lam said that he had visited the DCI booth and been impressed by various products, assimilations, training programs of helicopter pilots and unmanned aerial vehicles made by DCI at the Vietnam National Defense and Security Exhibition in December 2022.
Minister To Lam affirmed that the Vietnamese side wishes to strengthen bilateral defense and security cooperation in the fields of air force , maritime police, drones, cybersecurity, special force training, healthcare, satellite telecommunications.
Sincerely thank Minister To Lam for the meeting, Mr. Samuel Fringant hoped that the relationship and cooperation between the two countries will develop more and more, achieve more good results in all fields of cooperation.
He also believes that the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and relevant agencies of the French Republic will continue to be boosted in the coming time, contributing to strengthening the cooperation between the two countries.
