Vietnamese police hand over 32 stations to Laos police
The Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department (Vietnam) in coordination with the Houaphan Provincial Police Department (Laos) held a ceremony to hand over 32 office buildings to Lao communal police forces in Sop Bao district, Houaphan province.
Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, Major General Tran Phu Ha, Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department appreciated the efforts of the two provincial police departments in overcoming difficulties to complete the construction of the office buildings, saying that the projects would help boost cooperation between police forces of the two provinces in ensuring security and order along the shared borderline. The Vietnam-invested projects also contribute to fostering the friendship between the two countries and the two provinces.
The Director of the Houaphan Provincial Police Department, for his part, thanked the Provincial Police of Thanh Hoa in particular and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in general for their invaluable support in building new working offices for the Lao local police.
He added that the new working buildings would help Lao policemen have better working conditions, and therefore they would better perform their given tasks of ensuring security and order, preventing and combatting crimes and social evils.
