Wardenship requested to properly implement policies for inmates

Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long leading a delegation of the MPS visited and worked with Cay Cay Prison (located in Tay Ninh province) and Tong Le Chan Prison (located in Binh Phuoc province), on July 25, 2022.

Reports at the meeting stated, since the beginning of 2022, the Party Committee and Warden Board of Cay Cay Prison have led the prison staff to successfully complete the assigned political tasks and the management of prisoners.

The staff of the prison has always renovated re-education programs of prisoners while ensuring security, safety and order in the prison, and properly implementing policies for inmates.

Meanwhile, the staff of Tong Le Chan Prison always focused on re-educating inmates, enhanced education of laws, policies, ethics and behavioral culture for prisoners, regularly held dialogues with inmates, and encouraged inmates to improve themselves to enjoy the State’s policy of clemency.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the effort and achievements of the staff of Cay Cay Prison and Tong Le Chan Prison in recent years.

Regarding their major tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long asked the wardenship boards and guards at Cay Cay Prison and Tong Le Chan Prison to continue to boost law education while properly implementing policies for inmates.

They should also execute the State President’s decision on amnesty in a serious and correct manner, regularly launch contests and emulation movements among inmates, hold cultural, sport and art programs, provide physical training, books, newspapers and televisions for them to improve their spiritual lives.

Additionally, the wardenship should take care of health of both guards and inmates, preventing all kinds of diseases, especially COVID-19.
