Young officers of DIC visit disadvantaged people in HCMC
The Youth Union Chapter of the Representative Office of the Department for Information and Communication (DIC) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) coordinated with the youth of the Southern Office of the Security Guard High Command under the MPS to visit and present gifts to orphans, elderly people and people with disabilities in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
The charity delegation was led by Colonel Duong Van Toan, Head of the Representative Office of the DIC in HCMC.
They visited and presented gifts to 6 orphans in Ward 17, Binh Thanh District, who have lost their parents during the current COVID-19 wave.
The delegation encouraged the children to soon overcome their losses and difficulties in their lives as well as to study hard and become good citizens in the future.
On the same day, young officers of the two units also visited and offered gifts to 8 orphans in Phu Tho Hoa Ward, Tan Phu District.
They then visited and presented gifts to elderly people in Da Kao Ward, District 1, as well as disadvantaged people in the city’s social centers.
They visited the family of Captain Phan Tan Tai, a policeman, who died in June while working on the frontline of the fight against the pandemic.
