Youth of the Public Security Forces serves as vanguard army, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To
The 22nd Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces for the 2022 - 2027 term was solemnly opened on October 18, in Hanoi.
In the last term 2017 - 2022, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces launched three major emulation movements among the public security youth, namely "Youth of the Public Security Forces are vanguard in protecting national security", “Creative Youth”, and “Youth Volunteers”.
All movements and programs launched by the Central Committee of the Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces were implemented effectively, creating a great environment and motivation for young public security officers to work harder and accomplish their tasks.
Through the emulation movements and activities of the Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces, many typical examples of young public security officers were recognized.
In the 2017 - 2022 period alone, 18 young public security officers laid down their lives, and 79 others were injured while performing their duties.
Speaking at the congress, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the great results of the youth movements and activities of Youth Union chapters of public security agencies and units at all levels in the past term.
Discussing key tasks for the Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces in the coming time, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To suggested that the Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces should constantly improve the quality of its activities and its leadership, and function as a staff agency for the Public Security Central Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security while young public security officers should constantly study and augment their professional expertise, knowledge and revolutionary morality.
They should also serve as a vanguard army of the Public Security Forces in safeguarding national security, maintaining security and social order, and fighting crime.
*Previously, on October 17, the Congress opened the photo exhibition "Hallmarks of the Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces in the past term" and the exhibition "Creativity of young public security officers," featuring outstanding activities of the organization and achievements of young public security officers in the 2017–2022 term.
