Vietnam innovation wins gold medal at Seoul Fair

The project was also awarded with a grand prize from the Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS) at the event.
The project was resulted from a joint effort of engineers Dao Xuan Gioi, Nguyen Nhanh, Vuong Ngoc Trai, Phan Minh Thanh, Do Hong Quang, Bui Ta Vu, Nguyen Manh Thinh, and Nguyen Minh Canh.
It was one out of two of Vietnam’s projects submitted to the fair, the other one was a solution to prevent flood in Ho Chi Minh City and other coastal provinces.
The two projects were among winning entries of the 2016 Vietnam Fund for Scientific and Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) Award.
Co-organized by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA), the SIIF is one of the largest annual invention fairs in the world.
The fair provides a great opportunity for innovators and inventers to promote their ideas and projects in the Asian market, an already huge and still growing market.
This year’s event brought together 632 projects from 30 countries all over the world, including the US, Russia, France, Germany, Japan, Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
