Vietnam, Russia explore greater cooperation in oil and gas

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung met with Zarubezneft General Director Sergey Kudryashov on March 16 in Hanoi to discuss expanding cooperation in oil and gas ventures.

At the talks, Prime Minister Dung said oil and gas exploration and production is the key and most fruitful economic segment benefiting from cooperation between the two countries governments.
The Prime Minster noted that he still sees plenty of opportunities to expand joint efforts along the continental shelf of Vietnam.
The General Director in turn thanked the Prime Minster for the government’s operational support. He noted that against all odds, the countries two major oil ventures managed to eke out a respectable profit last year.
