Ambassadors of Reading Culture of Hanoi to be announced
PSNews - After assessing nearly 60,000 entries of students from 277 primary and secondary schools in Hanoi, the Organizing Board has selected 28 excellent entries in both Vietnamese and English.
The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports held a meeting on May 26, on the Book street, to announce the list of new Ambassadors of Reading Culture of Hanoi in the 2017-2018 academic year.
After assessing nearly 60,000 entries of students from 277 primary and secondary schools in Hanoi, the Organizing Board has selected 28 excellent entries in both Vietnamese and English.
Under the rules, each candidate sent to the Organizing Board an essay introducing the book he or she loved the most. Candidates also had to answer the question: “If you are selected as one of Hanoi’s Ambassadors of Reading Culture in the 2017-2018 academic year, what will you do to encourage others to read more?”.
Of the 28 finalists, four students with the most impressive written papers are Dang Anh Kiet (Class 3A1 – Nguyen Sieu Primary School); Phan Nguyen Lan Chi (Class 5C1 – Doan Thi Diem Primary School); Pham Bao Thu (Class 7C1 – Doan Thi Diem Secondary School); and Ta Thu An (Class 9A10 – Dong Da Secondary School).
At the meeting, the Organizing Board also presented awards to 5 schools with high-quality entries, namely Doan Thi Diem primary school, Nguyen Sieu primary school, Tran Phu primary school, Nghia Tan secondary school and Doan Thi Diem secondary school.
