HCM City to host Vietnam–RoK Culture and Tourism Festival
This year’s festival, Saigonese will be be treated to the star performances of famous K-pop and Vietnamese singers.

The 2019 Vietnam – Korea Culture and Tourism Festival is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City this September, local media reported, citing the Head of Korea Tourism Organization’s representative office in Vietnam Park Jong Sun at a press conference in Hanoi.
The festival is organized by the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam (KTO). At this year’s festival, Saigonese will be treated to the star performances of famous K-pop and Vietnamese singers.
Through this festival, KTO expects to showcase Korean friendly and beauty image as well as experience on culture, cuisine and music.
Besides the 2019 Vietnam – RoKa Culture and Tourism Festival, KTO will also organize many events to promote South Korea’s tourism in Vietnam, including a roadshow to introduce the RoK’s MICE tourism in Hanoi in July; the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Senior Travel Consultant project from June to December in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the 2019 Korea Travel Awards also in these two cities, among others.
In addition, KTO will also take part in other international travel fairs, including the 2019 Ho Chi Minh City – International Travel Expo from September 5 to 9, the 2019 Cambodia Travel Mart from October 11 to 13, the 2019 Vietnam International Travel Mart – Can Tho from November 29 to December 1.
The number of tourists from the RoK to Vietnam has grown exponentially in the recent years, making the RoK the second-biggest tourism market of Vietnam, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
Statistics from the VNAT show that in 2018, Vietnam welcomed nearly 3.5 million Korean visitors, a sharp rise from 2.5 million in 2017 and 1.5 million in 2016.
According to KTO’s representative office in Vietnam, Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An and Phu Quoc are among the most popular destinations for Korean tourists.
