Phia Oac – Phia Den National Park announced
PSNews - Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has just signed a decision on the establishment of the Phia Oac-Phia Den National Park in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang.

The establishment of the national park aims to preserve the typical ecosystem and biodiversity, including 90 species of flora and 50 species of rare and precious fauna.
The project is expected to trigger other programs to protect cultural values, natural landscapes and ecological environment, while more trees will be planted in the natural forests to increase the quality and coverage of the forests from 84% in 2016 to 95% to 2030, offering a good living environment for species of flora and fauna.
The national park of Phia Oac – Phia Den covers a natural area of some 10,600 hectares, in Thanh Cong, Quang Thanh, Phan Thanh and Hung Dao communes and Tinh Tuc town of Nguyen Binh district.

The national park will be divided into three functional sections: strictly restricted zone; ecological rehabilitation zone and administrative zone.
Various activities and programs will also be implemented, including forest resources protection and biodiversity conservation; forest ecosystem restoration; scientific research, training and human resources development; infrastructure construction for conservation; tourism development and environmental education.
