This year’s festival drew the participation of over 200 stands with thousands of selected traditional Tet goods such as sausage, sticky rice, fruit, green bean and other specialties nationwide.
The Special Tet Fair also provided a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy traditional Vietnamese music including Cheo, Quan ho and Chau Van, performed by professional artists.
The hotspot of this fair was the “Wrapping Chung Cake” activity. Ms. Dinh Ngoc Hoa (21 years old) shared: “This is the first time I have chance to learn how to make Chung cakes. It’s so exciting.”
In particular, this Tet fair was adorned with thousands of spring flowers and plants, including peach blossoms, kumquat trees, roses and daisies. Most of them went all the way from Sa Pa, in the North, and Da Lat, in the Central Highlands.
In addition, traditional folk games such as mandarin square capturing, stilt walking and bamboo dancing left visitors impressive memories, reminding childhood memories of Tet festivals in the past.
