Cruise ship brings 1,800 international tourists to Da Nang
PSNews - The luxury cruise ship Resorts World One on October 4 brought 1,800 international tourists to Da Nang’s Tien Sa port.
This is the second time this year the ship, operated by Saigontourist Travel Service Co., Ltd.’s branch in Da Nang, has berthed at Da Nang.
The tourists come from different countries including UK, US, France, Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, China, Malaysia.
During their one-day stay in Da Nang, passengers visited Sun World Ba Na Hills, Son Tra Linh Ung pagoda, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, and Hoi An ancient town and the My Son sanctuary, both in Quang Nam province.
The ship left Da Nang the same evening.
Statistic shows that over the past 9 months, Da Nang port has received 19 international passenger ships with 19,500 passengers. It will welcome 11 more ships with more than 10,000 passengers between now and the end of the year.
Despite positive signs of tourism recovery, the city’s tourism sector is still facing major challenges in finance, human resources, and infrastructure.
