Enchanting wild sunflowers shine on Chu Dang Ya extinct volcano

The Chu Dang Ya Wild Sunflower – Volcano Festival kicked off in November in the communal house of Ia Gri Village, Chu Dang Ya Commune, Chu Pah District, Gia Lai Province.

Local cuisine was introduced to visitors in the festival.

Yellow wild sunflowers grow along the paths leading to Chu Dang Ya volcano.

During the festival, visitors only immersed themselves in the atmosphere of a major cultural-tourism festival of Gia Lai province, but also experience many attractive cultural and sports events.

Every mid-November, wild sunflowers bloom brightly at Chu Dang Ya, and red galangal flowers add brilliance to the volcanic area.

Extinct volcano Chu Dang Ya in Chu Pah district, the central highland province of Gia Lai is seen as a new destination for visitors fond of contemplating wild sunflowers in full bloom.

The wild sunflower with its natural beauty looks healthy, graceful and charming.
The natural surroundings are brilliant with the yellow of wild sunflowers.

Visitors to the festival also had chance to explore the traditional crafts of Central Highlanders including brocade and bamboo weaving, wood carving, and musical instrument making, or take part in various folk games such as bag jumping, stick pushing, tug of war, and bamboo pole dancing.
