Exhibition on Vietnamese lacquer paintings kicks off
PSNews - The event was part of the Vietnam Days Abroad 2021 – a national popularisation programme annually held by the ministry, aming to introducing the essene of Vietnamese art to the public.
Recently, the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum kicked off a virtual exhibition to introduce people 50 prominent Vietnamese lacquer paintings.
The event was part of the Vietnam Days Abroad 2021 – a national popularisation programme annually held by the ministry, aming to introducing the essene of Vietnamese art to the public.
The exhibition (http://trienlamtranhsonmai.trienlamao.net) was designed in 3D form in English and Vietnamese languages. The works on display were chosen by the museum, highlighting the beauty of Vietnamese country and its people.
A highlight of the exhibition is the work “Binh Phong” (Folding Screen) by Nguyen Gia Tri, which has been recognised as a national treasure.
