Myanmar carrier launches first flight to Noi Bai
PSNews - The Myanmar Airways International (MAI) on September 19 began operating its first flight from Yangon, Myanmar, to Hanoi-based Noi Bai International Airport. The event marked the development of the international flight network between the two countries.
As reported, the Myanmar airline will run two return flights on Mondays and Fridays with a flight time of two hours.
Besides, MAI will operate the Yangon - Ho Chi Minh city service with one flight a week, starting September 22. The airline will use Airbus A320 aircraft for all its flights between the two countries.
Myanmar Airways International has become one of the three first international airlines to open direct air services to Hanoi City after a two-year suspension due to the Covid pandemic, after Cambodia Angkor Air and Thai Smile Airways.
With the presence of MAI, the Noi Bai International Airport now hosts 57 international and domestic airlines carrying passengers and cargo, linking Hanoi with 60 foreign and 17 domestic destinations.
It is also negotiating with airlines from Asia and Europe to expand air transport markets this winter and next spring.
