Son Tra Peninsula – a scenic landscape in Vietnam's Danang

Nature has endowed Da Nang city in central Vietnam not only with blue seas, white sands, and golden sunshine but also the pristine and beautiful Son Tra Peninsula. Located not far from the downtown area, Son Tra Peninsula is considered the most unique peninsula in all of Vietnam.

1.jpg -0 — Son Tra Peninsula is 10km from the center of Da Nang City to the North-east and is 693m high above sea level and can be seen from every place in the city.

2.jpg -1 — Son Tra looks like a mushroom of which cap is Son Tra Mountain and stalk is a beautiful sandy beach that affords an ideal area for bathing, playing sports, fishing and swimming.

3.jpg -2 — The best time to visit Son Tra Peninsula for sightseeing and outdoor activities is between March to September. You will see sunny skies and beaches with clear blue water, as well as there are hardly storms. You can discover the beauty of the peninsula and its wild animals, take a breath of fresh air, be immerse yourself in the great outdoors, and dive to discover the underwater world.

4.jpg -3 — There are many different ways to travel to the peninsula, depending on how you like to get around with what types of transport. You can travel to the Peninsula by your motorbikes, or 4-wheeled vehicles. Also, you can use transit vehicles to travel to the peninsula with their reasonable fares and suitable time.

5.jpg -4 — On Son Tra, there still remain more than 30km² of natural forests, nearly 300 types of plants and several hundred kinds of fauna, including rare animal. From the top of the mountain, you can see the overall view of Danang City, Marble Mountains, Ba Na – Mount Chua

6.jpg -5 — The Son Tra Nature Reserve has more than 1,000 plants, including 143 species of high medicinal value, 140 species of ornamental value, 22 species of rare plants, and hundreds of other valuable plant species.

7.jpg -6 — The Son Tra Peninsula is considered a precious natural gift, a ‘green lung’, and home of the 'Queen' of the primate species, in the heart of the city. It has been emerging as one of the city’s must-visit destinations.
