132 passengers rescued from flood
Quang Binh Provincial Military Command mobilized 30 officers on October 15th to approach the location of stranded train SE19 at Le Son station, rescuing passengers.

Train SE 19 which departed from Hanoi on October 13th was isolated from October 14th because of flood. There were 132 passengers on board, including 96 foreigners.

On October 15th morning, food and fuel of SE 19 were nearly run out. The same day at 9am, 2 canoes with Deputy Chairman of Quang Binh People's Committee Le Minh Ngan and 30 soldiers approached SE 19, bringing food and fuel.

Passengers arrived from the stranded location to Highway 12A by canoes, then buses from the train company took them to Dong Ha station in Quang Tri. Mr. Ngan asked the train company and military force to ensure absolute safety for passengers.
