In response to the “Supporting network connections and electronic devices for children” program launched by the Prime Minister, businesses have donated some 7,000 electronic devices, including tablets and smartphones, and 10,000 SIM cards, to support disadvantaged children, especially those living in areas of social distancing, so that the children could learn online amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Education and Training Offices of districts and towns, even schools also have their own ways to support needy students who can hardly afford to buy electronic devices to learn online during the pandemic.

With the effective support, 99% of primary, secondary and high school students can study online now.

It is estimated that some 10,000 students in Hanoi do not have electronic devices suitable for online learning.
