Da Nang to set up more “goby fish bins” in Son Tra Peninsula. |
The authorities of the central beach city of Da Nang will soon place 7 bamboo garbage bins in the shape of giant goby fish along the beach of Son Tra Peninsula with the aim of minimizing plastic waste in the environment.
The installation of the “goby fish bins” is part of the movement “Da Nang Marine Environment 2019.”
The bamboo garbage bin, in the shape of giant goby fish, with the message "give me plastic waste" printed on it, will be placed along Son Tra Peninsula’s beach.
The first “goby fish bins” was already set up on the beach at the junction of Nguyen Van Thoai and Vo Nguyen Giap streets in Danang city and has brought about positive outcomes; as a result, local people and visitors have become more aware of plastic waste and environmental protection.
