Four central-level hospitals support development of family-doctor model in Phu Tho

Development of the family-doctor model is seen as a central solution in the local-level healthcare system, contributing to improving the quality of treatment of patients, according to Deputy Minister of Health Pham Le Tuan.
In the presence of the Medical Services Administration of the Ministry of Health, the Phu Tho Provincial Health Department signed a cooperation agreement with four central-level hospitals namely the Hanoi Heart Hospital, the Central Acupuncture Hospital, the Central Diabetes & Endocrinology Hospital, and the Central Geriatric Hospital to develop the family-doctor model in Yen Lap district, Phu Tho.
The family-doctor model is seen as a central solution to the local-level healthcare system, contributing to improving the quality of healthcare for people, according to Deputy Minister of Health Pham Le Tuan.
With this concept, good doctors will help local medical stations improve the quality of healthcare so that people do not have to go far to reach quality medical services.
Director of the Phu Tho Provincial Health Department Ho Duc Hai said that the cooperation with the central hospitals will help the medical staff of Yen Lap district improve their competence and better manage non-communicable disease.
