Ha Giang police seize nearly 62,000 masks to be illegally exported to China

At 12.30 pm February 6, the Thanh Thuy communal police detected Nguyen Thi Son, 41, residing in Ha Giang city, driving a van contained 25 boxes with 61,950 medical masks inside from Ha Giang city to the Thanh Thuy International Border Gate.

At 12.30 pm February 6, the Thanh Thuy communal police detected Nguyen Thi Son, 41, residing in Ha Giang city, driving a van contained 25 boxes with 61,950 medical masks inside from Ha Giang city to the Thanh Thuy International Border Gate.
While checking the van, Son could not verify the origin of the goods.
Later she admitted that she was hired by a Chinese woman to transport the masks from Ha Giang bus station to the Thanh Thuy International Border Gate before illegally transporting them to China for trading.
Currently, the local police sealed and seized the vehicle and exhibits for further investigation.
