Vinh Phuc donate VND 5 billion to flood-hit Central provinces

The 17th Party Congress of the northern province of Vinh Phuc for the 2020-2025 tenure kicked off on October 14.

At the event, Nguyen Van Tri, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the 16
th term and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, called on other delegates to provide support for flood-hit areas in the Central provinces.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy announced that the Party organization, authorities and people of Vinh Phuc have raised VND 5 billion in support of flood-hit areas in the Central provinces.
During Storm No.6, a number of people were reported dead or missing. Some 150,000 houses were flooded or damaged, and local agricultural production suffered heavy losses. Many areas are still under water or isolated.
