Hanoi offers free meals for needy patients amid COVID-19

PSNews - A representative of the Hanoi Municipal Red Cross Society said they hope the programme will spread positive messages on concerted effort and sharing amid complicated developments of the pandemic.

With the aim of enhancing COVID-19 pandemic prevention in Hanoi capital, the Hanoi Municipal Red Cross Society kicked off a social programme on November 10 to offer free meals for needy patients in the city. 

This programme is a practical activity responding to the call of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and relevant officials as well as organizations. 

Moreover, it's also the desire of the Hanoi Red Cross Society and donors across Vietnam and abroad with the aim of support needy patients amid this COVID-19 pandemic. 

The free meals programme will be deployed on evert Tuesday and Friday at hospitals including the National Institute of Haematology - Blood Transfusion, Dong Da hospital, Tan Trieu K hospital, Le Thanh Nghi dialysis village. As planned, the programme will last until December with over 15,000 free meals.
