The National Hospital of Endocrinology on August 19 sent their second medical team to support the Center for Intensive Care for COVID-19 patients in Vinh Long.

All members of the medical team, led by Dr. Phan Hoang Hiep, Director of the National Hospital of Endocrinology, were fully vaccinated and tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. The first team of the hospital, which included 33 health workers, was sent to Ho Chi Minh City on July 26.

Before their departure, leaders of the hospital applauded the pioneer spirit of the medical team and encouraged them to overcome all difficulties to fulfil their duties and return safely.

On the same day, the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology sent a second team of 122 doctors, nurses and technicians to support Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces in the fight against COVID-19.

Earlier, the National Cancer Hospital sent its doctors, nurses and technicians to support the Intensive Care Unit for COVID-19 patients in Dong Nai. Previously, the hospital had sent 2 teams of medical workers to Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai. All members of the teams had been trained for two weeks before their departure.

On August 18, some 200 doctors, nurses and technicians of Bach Mai Hospital went to work at 500-bed Field Hospital No. 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

This was the fifth time Bach Mai Hospital had sent their medical workers to Ho Chi Minh City. To date, some 500 doctors, nurses and technicians of the hospital have joined Southern localities’ efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
